On the south bank of the Nerang River is Carrara, a fast-growing little bit of GC suburbia. It's a golfers' paradise, and the Emerald Lakes are dead-set fantastic. The Carrara Markets (Saturday and Sunday, 7 am - 4 pm) are the Gold Coast's biggest permanent markets and have pretty much everything under the sun.
